PROFILE

Ms Periquet is an interior architect, and principal designer of Periquet Galicia.  

She received her formative design education at Pratt Institute, NY (MS Interior Design) and Assumption College, Makati (BS Interior Design, cum laude).  She placed 3rd in the Phliippine National Interior Design Licensure Examinations in 1989.  Other educational achievements include an MBA from Ateneo Graduate School of Business, and a BA in English Literature, cum laude, from Assumption College.

She was trained in lighting design at Fisher Marantz Stone in New York, and was a senior associate designer at Orsini Design Associates, before returning to Manila to set up her own firm. 

Her portfolio includes distinctive residential interiors in New York, London, Hong Kong and Vancouver, and an array of residential, institutional and hospitality interiors in Manila. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, including the books 25 Tropical Houses in the PhilippinesThe Tropical House, Decorating with Flowers, and Philippine Style. Her renovation of a cottage in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, was awarded a Silver Award for Best Residential Renovation under $250,000 by the NARI Wisconsin Chapter in 2010.

She is also a founding partner of Casa Periquet, a furniture design atelier.  Featured in Town and Country, BluPrint, and the book Philippine Style:  Design and Architecture, her furniture designs reflect the same rigorous principles that govern her interiors. 

She is an accredited member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) and the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID).
